Vzroki in ključni pojmi prve svetovne vojne
Predstavljaj si Evropo leta 1914 kot sod smodnika - vsi elementi za eksplozijo so bili že pripravljeni. Imperializem je pomenil, da so velesile tekmovale za kolonije po vsem svetu, Nemčija pa je hotela svoj "prostor pod soncem" enako kot Velika Britanija in Francija.
Nacionalizem je ustvarjal še več napetosti - Francozi so hoteli nazaj Alzacijo in Loreno, južni Slovani na Balkanu pa so sanjali o lastnih državah. Zato so Balkan imenovali kar "sod smodnika Evrope".
Militarizem je pomenil oboroževalno tekmo - vse države so gradile večje vojske in novo orožje. Sistem zavezništev je razdelil Evropo na dva tabora: Centralne sile proti Antanti (Velika Britanija, Francija, Rusija).
💡 Pomembno za test: Razlikuj med vzroki (dolgoročni) in povodom (en dogodek)! To učiteljice vedno sprašujejo.
Sarajevski atentat - povod za katastrofo
- junija 1914 je mladi srbski nacionalist Gavrilo Princip v Sarajevu ubil avstro-ogrskega prestolonaslednika Franca Ferdinanda in njegovo ženo. Ta en strel je sprožil verižno reakcijo, ki je v enem tednu privedla skoraj vso Evropo v vojno.
Avstro-Ogrska je obtožila Srbijo in ji poslala ultimat z nesprejemljivimi zahtevami. Ko ga je Srbija zavrnila, je sledila vojna napoved 28. julija 1914. Zaradi sistema zavezništev se je lokalni spor hitro razširil.
Veriga dogodkov je tekla takole: Rusija je pomagala Srbiji, Nemčija je napovedala vojno Rusiji in Franciji, Velika Britanija pa je vstopila zaradi napada na Belgijo. V tednu dni je bil skoraj ves kontinent v plamenih.
💡 Ključna letnica: 28. junij 1914 - atentat, ki je spremenil svet!
Glavna bojišča in potek vojne
Zahodna fronta je potekala skozi Belgijo in Francijo. Nemški načrt Schlieffen za hitro zmago nad Francijo je propadel pri bitki na Marni. Fronta se je ustalila in začelo se je pozicijsko vojskovanje v jarkih, ki je trajalo skoraj štiri leta.
Vzhodna fronta je potekala od Baltika do Črnega morja proti Rusiji. Ta fronta je bila bolj gibljiva, dokler Rusija zaradi revolucije leta 1917 ni izstopila iz vojne.
Za nas Slovence je bila najpomembnejša Soška fronta (1915-1917), kjer se je po vstopu Italije v vojno odvilo 12 soških bitk. Najbolj znana je bila 12. bitka - "čudež pri Kobaridu", kjer so avstro-ogrske enote prebile italijansko obrambo.
💡 Za test: Zapomni si ključne letnice - 1914 (začetek), 1917 (vstop ZDA, izstop Rusije), 1918 (konec 11. 11. ob 11h)!
Življenje v prvi svetovni vojni
To ni bila le "običajna" vojna - bila je totalna vojna, ki je prizadela celotno družbo. Medtem ko so se moški borili na frontah, so ženske delale v tovarnah orožja, civilisti pa so trpeli zaradi pomanjkanja hrane.
Življenje v jarkih je bilo nočmora: stalna nevarnost od artilerije in plina, blato, mraz, podgane, bolezni. Vojaki so doživljali "granatni šok" - to, čemur danes pravimo posttravmatska stresna motnja.
Vojna je prinesla nova orožja: strojnice, strupen plin, tanke, letala. Pozicijsko vojskovanje je pomenilo, da se fronta skoraj ni premikala, vsak napad pa je zahteval tisoče življenj za le nekaj metrov ozemlja.

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
