Guidelines Content Guidelines

  1. Title Create the title of your content so that it matches the topic you are presenting. The title should not include your grade level or semester.

  2. Sources If you upload content that contains excerpts, images, or diagrams that are not your own work, you must cite the sources of the information. The source citation can be inserted directly into the PDF file or added in the description of the content when uploading.

  3. Image quality – framing Make sure your content is properly cropped and framed before uploading. Do not upload content with large empty borders around the image, and ensure that personal backgrounds are cropped out when you upload photos of your work. Do not upload anything where part of the learning content is cut off.

  4. Image quality and sharpness Pay attention to the quality of your content. Make sure the image is sharp and no part of the content is blurry or out of focus. Do not upload anything that is not easily readable.

  5. Image quality – brightness Ensure your content has appropriate brightness and contrast and is easily readable on a screen. Do not upload anything that is too bright or too dark to allow the learning material to be read.

  6. Relevance to school or university Make sure the content you upload is relevant to school or university. This includes all subject-specific content and anything that helps pupils or students with learning or organising their learning (e.g. cover pages, timetables, study tips, overviews, etc.).

  7. Detail Ensure your content contains enough information to be helpful to other pupils and students so that they can learn from it. Where possible, include explanations, descriptions, and examples.

  8. Media copyright Please upload only your own content. Do not infringe the copyrights of third parties, i.e. cite correctly, do not plagiarise, and provide all sources. Upload only worksheets that you have completed yourself, and make sure the title and description of past work are clearly labelled.

  9. Combine related content Ensure that content on the same topic is combined and uploaded as a single item. Do not split pages and upload them individually. Try to keep related content together so that users can find it more easily and learn from it.

  10. Internal plagiarism Please upload only your own original content. Do not copy other users’ work on the platform, in part or in full. Do not upload an exact copy of another person’s work, and do not copy someone else’s work and upload it in your own style.

  11. Spelling mistakes Please check your content carefully before uploading and avoid uploading work that contains spelling mistakes. When creating study sets, flashcards, and quizzes, ensure they are published without spelling errors.

  12. Reversed question and answer When creating study sets, flashcards, and quizzes, make sure you put the question on the front of the card and the answer on the back to ensure they are suitable for users who are self-testing on the topic.

  13. Topic focus Make sure your uploaded content covers an entire topic area and does not relate only to parts of a topic. This helps other pupils or students learn better with your content. If you have reserved topics from the topic list, you must clearly follow the guidelines for those topics.

  14. How it works Study sets, flashcards, and quizzes are meant to help users test their knowledge of specific topics. To be useful for the user, you should write a brief question on the front of the card and the answer(s) on the back of the card. Do not upload PDFs of your own work into a study set.
