Pomorska Odkritja in Nastanek Kolonialnih Imperijev

Uvod v velika geografska odkritja
Predstavljaj si svet brez krompirja, paradižnika ali čokolade - točno tako je bila Evropa pred 16. stoletjem! Velika geografska odkritja so bila prelomna doba, ki je za vedno spremenila našo planeto.
Kolonializem je politika, ko ena država podredi in izkorišča drugo (običajno prekomorsko) ozemlje. Imperializem pa je širši pojem - pomeni širjenje vpliva in moči neke države nad drugimi ozemlji. Konkvistadorji so bili španski "osvajalci", ki so v 16. stoletju osvojili ogromna ozemlja v Ameriki.
Ključna tehnologija za ta odkritja je bila karavela - nova portugalska ladja, ki je bila hitrejša in je lahko plula proti vetru. Brez nje potovanja čez Atlantik ne bi bila mogoča!
💡 Pomembno: Tordesilljska pogodba iz leta 1494 je primer, kako sta si Španija in Portugalska z blagoslovom papeža preprosto razdelili svet - ne da bi vprašali ljudi, ki so tam živeli!
Vzroki za geografska odkritja
Zakaj so se Evropejci sploh podali na tako nevarna potovanja? Glavni razlog je bil gospodarsko motiviran - iskali so pot do dragocenih začimb iz Azije (poper, cimet, muškatni orešček).
Leta 1453 so Turki zavzeli Konstantinopel in prekinili tradicionalne trgovske poti proti Vzhodu. Trgovina je postala dražja in nevarnejša, zato so Evropejci iskali alternativne morske poti.
Tehnični napredek je omogočil dolga potovanja - razvoj karavele, izboljšan kompas in astrolab (za določanje zemljepisne širine s pomočjo zvezd) so zmanjšali tveganje plovbe po odprtem oceanu.
Pomemben je bil tudi verski motiv - evropski vladarji, predvsem v Španiji in Portugalski, so želeli širiti katoliško vero in se boriti proti islamu. To je bilo nadaljevanje duha križarskih vojn.
💡 Zapomni si: Kombinacija gospodarskih potreb, tehnologije in verskega zanosa je bila eksplozivna mešanica, ki je sprožila največjo ekspedicijo v zgodovini človeštva!
Najpomembnejša potovanja in dosežki
Za teste moraš poznati ključne pomorščake in njihove dosežke! Bartolomeu Dias je leta 1488 kot prvi obplul južni vrh Afrike, ki ga je poimenoval "Viharni rt" (kasneje preimenovan v Rt dobrega upanja).
Krištof Kolumb je leta 1492 prečkal Atlantik in pristal na Karibih. Mislil je, da je prišel v Indijo, zato je prebivalce poimenoval Indijanci. Tako je "odkril" Ameriko za Evropejce - čeprav tam že tisočletja živijo razvite civilizacije!
Vasco da Gama je 1497-1498 našel pomorsko pot v Indijo okoli Afrike. S tem je odprl neposredno trgovino z začimbami, kar je prineslo Portugalski ogromno bogastvo.
Ferdinand Magellan je vodil prvo odpravo, ki je obplula svet (1519-1522). Sam je umrl na Filipinih, a ena od njegovih ladij se je vrnila v Španijo in dokončno dokazala, da je Zemlja okrogla.
💡 Ključna letnica: Leto 1492 (Kolumb v Ameriki) in 1498 (da Gama v Indiji) - to sta dve najpomembnejši prelomnici!
Posledice odkritij za Evropo in svet
Za Evropo so bile posledice večinoma pozitivne. Ogromne količine zlata in srebra iz Amerike so obogatile Španijo in Portugalsko. V Evropo so prišle nove kmetijske kulture: krompir, koruza, paradižnik, fižol, kakav, tobak.
Trgovska središča so se preselila iz Sredozemlja (Benetke, Genova) na Atlantik (Lizbona, Sevilla, London). Vendar je velik dotok plemenitih kovin povzročil inflacijo - padec vrednosti denarja in rast cen.
Za Ameriko, Afriko in Azijo so bile posledice katastrofalne. Španski konkvistadorji so uničili civilizaciji Aztekov in Inkov. Evropejci so prinesli bolezni (črne koze, ošpice), na katere staroselci niso bili odporni - umrlo je do 90% domorodnega prebivalstva!
Zaradi pomanjkanja delovne sile so začeli uvažati sužnje iz Afrike. Kolonije so postale vir surovin za Evropo, kar je zavrlo njihov razvoj.
💡 Kolumbova menjava: Izmenjava rastlin, živali, bolezni in idej med "Starim svetom" (Evropa) in "Novim svetom" (Amerika) - ključni pojem za razumevanje globalnih sprememb!
Osvojitev Azteškega imperija - študija primera
Kako je Hernán Cortés s samo 600 vojaki leta 1519 osvojil Azteški imperij z več milijoni prebivalcev? To ni bila samo vojaška zmaga, ampak kombinacija več dejavnikov.
Španci so imeli vojaško premoč - jekleno orožje, oklepe, topove in konje, ki jih Azteki sploh niso poznali. Bolezni (črne koze) so zdesetkale azteško prebivalstvo, ki ni imelo nobene imunosti.
Cortés je bil tudi pameten politik - sklenil je zavezništvo z ljudstvi, ki so bila podrejena Aztekom in so jih sovražila. Izkoristil je njihove notranje spore.
Azteki so sprva celo verjeli, da je Cortés utelešenje njihovega boga Quetzalcoatla, kar je Špancem dalo začetno prednost. Ta primer jasno kaže kompleksnost kolonialnih osvojitev.
💡 Pomembno za eseje: Beseda "odkritje" je evropocentrična - za staroselce je bil prihod Evropejcev invazija, ne odkritje!

This app is phenomenal down to the correct info and the various topics you can study! I greatly recommend it for people who struggle with procrastination and those who need homework help. It has been perfectly accurate for world 1 history as far as I’ve seen! Geometry too!

Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! Knowunity is the BEST app I’ve used in a minute. This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming. I love it and my mom is just happy I got good grades

The app's just great! All I have to do is enter the topic in the search bar and I get the response real fast. I don't have to watch 10 YouTube videos to understand something, so I'm saving my time. Highly recommended!

I found this app a couple years ago and it has only gotten better since then. I really love it because it can help with written questions and photo questions. Also, it can find study guides that other people have made as well as flashcard sets and practice tests. The free version is also amazing for students who might not be able to afford it. Would 100% recommend
