Razvoj prvih civilizacij: Mezopotamija in Stari Egipt

Uvod v prve visoke civilizacije
Zakaj so nastale ravno ob rekah? Preprosto - reke so pomenile življenje. Omogočale so namakanje polj, kar je privedlo do presežkov hrane in rasti prebivalstva. To je bila osnova za nastanek prvih mest in držav.
Rodovitni polmesec je bil zibelka civilizacije. To območje v obliki loka od Sredozemskega morja do Perzijskega zaliva je imelo idealne pogoje za razvoj kmetijstva.
Te civilizacije imenujemo tudi rečne civilizacije, ker so bile popolnoma odvisne od svojih rek. Reke so bile njihova avtocesta, lednica in življenjska žila v enem.
💡 Pomni: Presežki hrane = več ljudi = večja mesta = zapletnejša družba = civilizacija!
Mezopotamija - dežela med rekama
Mezopotamija pomeni "medrečje" in leži med rekama Evfrat in Tigris. A pozor - ti reki sta bili prava nočna mora! Nepredvidljive poplave so pogosto uničile vse, kar so ljudje zgradili.
Sumerci so bili prvi, ki so tu ustanovili mestne države kot Ur in Uruk. Vsako mesto je bilo samostojno kraljestvo z lastnim vladarjem. Razvili so tudi klinopis - prvo pisavo na svetu, kjer so znake vrezovali v glinene ploščice.
V središču vsakega mesta je stal zigurat - stopničasta piramida, ki je bila tempelj, šola, observatorij in skladišče hkrati. To je bil center vsega dogajanja.
Kralj Hamurabi je ustvaril Hamurabijev zakonik s slavnim načelom "oko za oko, zob za zob". To je bil prvi celovit zapis zakonov v zgodovini človeštva.

Stari Egipt - dar Nila
Grški zgodovinar Herodot je rekel: "Egipt je dar Nila" - in imel je prav! Nil je s svojimi rednimi letnimi poplavami prinašal rodovitno blato sredi puščave. Za razliko od Mezopotamije so bile poplave predvidljive.
Faraon ni bil le kralj - bil je živi bog na Zemlji z absolutno oblastjo. To je bila ključna razlika od Mezopotamije. Egipčani so razvili hieroglife - slikovno pisavo za pomembne zapise ter papirus namesto glinenih ploščic.
Mumifikacija je bila njihova specializacija. Verjeli so, da mora telo ostati ohranjeno za posmrtno življenje. Duša (ka in ba) se bo vrnila in potrebovala bo svoje telo.
Piramide so bile monumentalne grobnice za faraone. Najbolj znane so v Gizi - Keopsova, Kefrenova in Mikerinova piramida.
💡 Pomembno: Predvidljive poplave = optimizem; nepredvidljive poplave = pesimizem!

Egipčansko družbo si predstavljaj kot piramido: na vrhu faraon kot bog, nato vezirji in visoki svečeniki, sledijo uradniki in pisarji, nato obrtniki in kmetje, na dnu pa sužnji.
Glavni bog je bil Ra (bog sonca), pomembni pa tudi Oziris (bog podzemlja), Izida in Horus. Verjeli so v življenje po smrti, kjer se je srce pokojnika stehtalo proti perеsu resnice.
Knjiga mrtvih je bila priročnik za pot v onostranstvo - zbirka urokov, ki so pomagali pokojniku. Egipčani so bili mojstri medicine (poznali so anatomijo zaradi mumifikacije) in astronomije (ustvarili so koledar s 365 dnevi).
Zgodovino Egipta delimo na tri obdobja: Stara država (piramide), Srednja država (ponovna združitev) in Nova država (vrhunec moči, Ramzes II.).

Vladarji so se razlikovali: mezopotamski kralj je bil božji namestnik, egipčanski faraon pa živi bog. To je vplivalo na celotno družbeno ureditev.
Pisava: Mezopotamci so uporabljali klinopis na glinenih ploščicah, Egipčani pa hieroglife na papirus in kamen. Pisarji so bili v obeh civilizacijah zelo cenjeni.
Znanstveni dosežki: Mezopotamci so nam dali šestdesetinski sistem (60 sekund, 60 minut, 360° v krogu) in prvi zakonik. Egipčani pa koledar z 365 dnevi in napredek v medicini.
💡 Pomni za test: Hamurabijev zakonik je pomemben, ker je prvi celovit zapis zakonov - pomen pisave za državo!

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
