Proteínas: Estrutura e Funções
As proteínas são biomoléculas complexas formadas por aminoácidos e presentes em praticamente todas as funções do nosso corpo. Elas são compostas principalmente por carbono, hidrogênio, oxigênio, nitrogênio e enxofre.
Você pode encontrar proteínas em diversas fontes alimentares como ovos, carnes, peixes, leguminosas (feijões, ervilhas e soja), laticínios e nozes. Cada fonte oferece diferentes qualidades e quantidades proteicas – a soja e canola, por exemplo, contêm cerca de 40% de proteínas.
No organismo, as proteínas desempenham funções variadas e essenciais. Elas atuam como enzimas (representando 90% de todas as proteínas), hormônios (como a insulina), proteínas contráteis que permitem o movimento muscular, proteínas de proteção, armazenamento, estruturais (como o colágeno na pele e queratina nos cabelos), transporte (hemoglobina) e até na regulação dos nossos genes.

Estrutura das Proteínas e Carboidratos
Os aminoácidos são os blocos construtores das proteínas. Existem 20 tipos diferentes que se unem através de ligações peptídicas, formando longas cadeias. Todo aminoácido possui um átomo central de carbono conectado a um grupo amino (NH₂), um grupo carboxila (COOH), um hidrogênio e uma cadeia lateral específica que define cada tipo.
As proteínas apresentam quatro níveis de organização estrutural que determinam sua função. A estrutura primária é simplesmente a sequência linear de aminoácidos. A secundária representa padrões de dobramento como a alfa-hélice. Já a terciária mostra a conformação tridimensional completa, enquanto a quaternária ocorre quando várias cadeias se agregam.
Os carboidratos, por sua vez, são biomoléculas fundamentais para o fornecimento de energia. Eles se classificam em: monossacarídeos (como glicose e frutose), dissacarídeos (lactose, sacarose) e polissacarídeos (amido, glicogênio, celulose).
💡 Atenção! Além de fornecer energia, os carboidratos também estão presentes nos ácidos nucleicos, ajudam na estruturação das paredes celulares e participam do reconhecimento entre células — funções que vão muito além do simples fornecimento calórico!
Lipídios: Classificação e Importância
Os lipídios são biomoléculas diversificadas e essenciais tanto para animais quanto para plantas. Você pode classificá-los em dois grandes grupos: lipídios saponificáveis (formados por glicerol e ácidos graxos) e não saponificáveis.
Os ácidos graxos, componentes importantes dos lipídios saponificáveis, podem ser saturados (geralmente sólidos à temperatura ambiente, como a gordura animal) ou insaturados (geralmente líquidos à temperatura ambiente, como os óleos vegetais).
No corpo humano, os lipídios funcionam como reserva energética, isolante térmico e proteção contra lesões. Nas plantas, além da reserva energética, eles protegem contra a dessecação e formam camadas hidrofóbicas. Metabolicamente, participam da formação de hormônios, pigmentos, vitaminas e são componentes essenciais das membranas celulares.

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming.
