Správne Používanie Veľkých Písmen: Praktická Príručka

Základy pravopisu veľkých písmen
Najprv si musíš zapamätať rozdiel medzi vlastnými a všeobecnými podstatnými menami. Vlastné mená označujú niečo konkrétne a jedinečné - Janko, Slovensko, Dunaj. Všeobecné mená označujú akúkoľvek vec zo skupiny - chlapec, krajina, rieka.
Zlaté pravidlo: Konkrétne a jedinečné = veľké písmeno. Všeobecné = malé písmeno.
Každá veta sa začína veľkým písmenom a pri zdvorilostnom oslovení v listoch používame veľké písmená pre Vy, Vám, Váš.
Tip: Spýtaj sa seba: "Je to niečo konkrétne a jedinečné?" Ak áno, píš veľké písmeno!
Vlastné mená a geografické názvy
Mená osôb a zvierat píšeme vždy veľkým písmenom - Jozef Mrkvica, Anna Nováková, pes Rex, mačka Micka. Platí to aj pre prezývky ako Janko Hraško alebo Kráľ Svätopluk.
Geografické názvy sú jednoduché: Slovensko, Európa, Bratislava, Dunaj, Tatry. Pozor na všeobecné slová v názvoch! "Ulica SNP" má veľké U, ak je súčasťou oficiálneho názvu, ale "ulica" môže byť aj malé.
Pri vodných tokoch a pohoriach je "more", "pleso" väčšinou malé (Jadranské more), ale "Tatry" je veľké, lebo je to vlastné meno.
Pozor: Slová ako "ulica", "námestie", "more" píš malým písmenom, ak nie sú súčasťou oficiálneho názvu!
Inštitúcie, knihy a sviatky
Oficiálne názvy škôl a inštitúcií píš veľkým písmenom - Základná škola Jána Amosa Komenského, Slovenská republika. Ale všeobecné pomenovania sú malé - naša základná škola, slovenská vláda.
Názvy kníh a filmov majú veľké písmeno na začiatku a pri vlastných menách - Malý princ, Perinbaba. Pri dlhších názvoch len prvé slovo a vlastné mená: Rozprávky z tisíc a jednej noci.
Sviatky píšeme veľkým písmenom - Vianoce, Veľká noc, Nový rok. Ale všeobecné slová ako "narodeniny" sú malé.
Dôležité: V názvoch nemusíš písať každé slovo veľkým písmenom - len prvé a vlastné mená!
Národnosti a nebeské telesá
Národnosti a obyvateľov miest píš veľkým písmenom - Slovák, Slovenka, Bratislavčan. Ale pozor na prídavné mená! Tie sú malé - slovenský jazyk, bratislavský hrad, česká republika.
Planéty a súhvezdia píš veľkým písmenom, keď hovoríš o konkrétnych nebeských telesách - planéta Zem, Slnko, Mesiac. Ale ak myslíš na "zem" ako pôdu alebo "mesiace" ako časti roka, píš malé písmeno.
Pri zdvorilostnom oslovení v listoch používaj veľké písmená - Vážený pán, Prosím Vás, Ďakujem Vám. Pri kamarátoch môžeš písať malé - "Ahoj, ako sa máš?"
Častá chyba: Prídavné mená od národností sú vždy malé - slovenský, nie Slovenský!
Praktické cvičenie
Skúsme si opraviť vetu: "janko a anna išli do bratislavy."
Začiatok vety = veľké písmeno: Janko. "Janko" a "Anna" sú vlastné mená osôb. "Bratislava" je názov mesta. Správne: Janko a Anna išli do Bratislavy.
Ďalší príklad: "naša základná škola sa volá základná škola m. r. štefánika."
Začiatok vety = Naša. Oficiálny názov školy = Základná škola M. R. Štefánika. Správne: Naša základná škola sa volá Základná škola M. R. Štefánika.
Tip na precvičovanie: Pokús sa nájsť vlastné mená vo svojom okolí a skontroluj, či ich píšeš správne!
Zhrnutie a dôležité tipy
Vždy veľké písmeno: začiatok vety, vlastné mená ľudí a zvierat, názvy miest a krajín, oficiálne názvy inštitúcií, názvy kníh a filmov, sviatky, národnosti.
Pozor na časté chyby: Prídavné mená sú malé (slovenský, bratislavský). Všeobecné slová v názvoch môžu byť malé. Rozlišuj Zem (planétu) od zem (pôdy).
Praktický tip: Ak si nie si istý, spýtaj sa: "Je to niečo konkrétne a jedinečné?" Áno = veľké písmeno. Nie = malé písmeno.
Zapamätaj si tieto pravidlá a tvoja slovenčina bude perfektná!
Na skúšku si zapamätaj: Vlastné mená = veľké, všeobecné mená = malé, prídavné mená = malé!
