Osnove tujk in prevzetih besed
Zakaj sploh prevzemamo besede iz drugih jezikov? Razlog je preprost - jezik se mora prilagajati novim potrebam. Ko se pojavi nova tehnologija ali kultura, potrebujemo nove besede.
Najpomembnejše je razumeti štiri osnovne pojme. Tujka je beseda, ki je še ni prilagojena slovenščini - pišemo jo tako kot v izvirniku (npr. show, management). Prevzeta beseda je tujka, ki smo jo prilagodili naši izgovorjavi in pisavi (npr. šov, menedžment).
Citatne besede zapišemo točno kot v izvirniku in jih pogosto označimo z ležečim tiskom (npr. de facto, status quo). Podomačene besede pa so tako stare prevzemke, da jih sploh ne prepoznamo več kot tuje - primer sta "žoga" ali "fant".
💡 Zapomni si: Glavna razlika je v stopnji prilagoditve slovenskemu jeziku. Manj prilagojena = tujka, bolj prilagojena = prevzeta beseda.
Kako poteka prilagajanje besed
Ko tuja beseda pride v slovenščino, gre skozi zanimiv proces podomačevanja. Prvi korak je prilagoditev zapisa - angleško "sh" postane "š", "y" postane "i", "w" pa "v".
Drugi korak je prilagoditev izgovora slovenskim glasovom. Tretji in najpomembnejši korak pa je dodajanje slovenskih končnic - besedi moramo znati reči tudi "maila", "mailu", ne le "mail".
Besede prevzemamo iz treh glavnih razlogov. Najpogosteje, ker nimamo svoje besede za nekaj novega (kot internet). Včasih pa je tuj izraz krajši ali natančnejši od slovenskega (dizajn ni čisto enako kot oblikovanje).
💡 Pomembno: Cilj prilagajanja je, da besedo lahko uporabljamo kot vsako drugo slovensko besedo - z vsemi sklonitvenimi oblikami.
Praktični primeri in vaje
Kako ločiš med tujko in prevzeto besedo? Preprosto - poglej zapis! Če je zapis originalen (jazz, shopping), je to tujka. Če je prilagojen naši izgovorjavi (džez, šoping), je to prevzeta beseda.
Poskusi sam prilagoditi besedo "manager". Prvi korak: spremeni zapis v "menedžer". Drugi korak: dodaj slovenske končnice - menedžerja, menedžerju. Zdaj lahko rečeš: "Pogovarjal sem se z novim menedžerjem."
Ne pozabi na pravilno sklanjanje! Pogosta napaka je, da ljudje pustijo besedo v osnovni obliki. Namesto "Gremo na party" reci "Gremo na parti".
💡 Zlato pravilo: Če obstaja dobra slovenska beseda, jo uporabi! Raje reci "sestanek" kot "miting", "nakupovanje" kot "šoping".
Pogoste napake in nasveti
Najpogostejša napaka je mešanje tujk in prevzetih besed. Če obstaja uveljavljena prevzeta oblika, jo uporabljaj - ne piši "computer", ampak "kompjuter" (ali še bolje "računalnik").
Citatne besede in tujke, ki jih želimo poudariti, pišemo ležeče (carpe diem). Prevzetih besed (pica, hobi, parti) pa ne označujemo z ležečim tiskom - to je pomembna razlika.
Kdaj uporabiti tujo besedo? Včasih je res potrebno, ker slovenske nimamo ali ker želimo biti zelo natančni. V športu rečemo "gol", sicer pa raje "cilj".
💡 Za test zapomni: Prednost vedno dajemo domačim besedam, če so pomensko enakovredne tuji besedi.

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
