Mastering Algebra for Junior Cert Success
Algebra isn't just another maths topic - it's the backbone of your entire Junior Cert exam. You'll encounter algebraic concepts in geometry, statistics, and pretty much everywhere else, so nailing these fundamentals is your ticket to exam success.
There are eight key areas you need to master: solving equations, algebraic fractions, roots, indices, simultaneous equations, spotting the -b formula, factorising, and algebraic long division. Don't worry - once you learn the tricks, algebra becomes much more manageable than it first appears.
The most important skill is solving equations to find the value of x. Here's the foolproof method: get all letters on the left side and all numbers on the right side. When you move something across the equals sign, flip its sign to the opposite.
Top Tip: Remember "joined by the hip" - if a number is multiplied or divided with your letter, bring it under as a fraction instead of changing its sign.
For example: 5x - 4 = 3x + 6 becomes 5x - 3x = 6 + 4, which gives you 2x = 10, so x = 5. Master this pattern and you're already winning at algebra!

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.
This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.
Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
