Irish Reading Comprehension - Animal Poetry
Ever wondered what it's like to see the world through an animal's eyes? This poem gives you that exact perspective, making it a brilliant example of first-person narrative in Irish literature.
The poem features an animal speaking directly to us, sharing its story from the wilderness to captivity. Originally from na fíréasa (the wilderness), this creature now finds itself confined in what appears to be a zoo or similar enclosure.
The animal has gained fame for its beauty and wildness - people come specifically to watch it. But there's a powerful contrast between its past and present behaviour. Back in the wilderness, it was powerful and free - shaking trees and roaring with strength.
Now, the reality is quite different. The animal lies on the ground, watched by crowds of people who've come to see this once-wild creature. The visitors want to see it released, showing how the poem explores themes of freedom versus captivity.
Key insight: The title "Príosún" (Prison) reveals the animal's true perspective - what looks like protection to humans feels like imprisonment to the creature.

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! In the end I think it’s worth it 😊👍 ⚠️Also DID I MENTION ITS FREEE YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY FOR ANYTHING AND STILL GET YOUR GRADES IN PERFECTLY❗️❗️⚠️

Knowunity is the BEST app I’ve used in a minute. This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming. I love it and my mom is just happy I got good grades

Also, it can find study guides that other people have made as well as flashcard sets and practice tests. The free version is also amazing for students who might not be able to afford it. This app is phenomenal down to the correct info and the various topics you can study! I greatly recommend it for people who struggle with procrastination and those who need homework help. It has been perfectly accurate for world 1 history as far as I’ve seen! Geometry too!
