Clasificación de los periodos prehistóricos
¿Sabías que los arqueólogos pueden descubrir cómo vivían nuestros antepasados solo mirando los objetos que dejaron atrás? Es como ser detectives del pasado.
La Prehistoria se divide en tres grandes etapas. En el Paleolítico, encontramos arte rupestre en cuevas y una vida nómada basada en la caza y recolección. Los humanos se movían constantemente buscando comida y refugio.
El Neolítico marca un cambio radical con los útiles de piedra pulimentada, la domesticación de animales y el megalitismo (esas construcciones enormes de piedra como Stonehenge). Aquí es cuando la gente empezó a quedarse en un sitio fijo.
La Edad de los Metales nos trajo herramientas de cobre, bronce y hierro que revolucionaron la forma de trabajar y vivir. Imagínate lo útil que sería tener un arado de metal en lugar de uno de madera para cultivar.
¡Dato curioso! La sedentarización cambió todo porque al no tener que moverse constantemente, los humanos pudieron construir casas permanentes, desarrollar nuevas tecnologías y hacer crecer sus comunidades.
La Revolución Neolítica: el cambio más importante de la historia
Hace unos 10.000 años ocurrió algo que cambió para siempre la historia de la humanidad. No fue una guerra ni un desastre natural, sino algo mucho más importante: aprendimos a producir nuestra propia comida.
La Revolución Neolítica se basó en dos pilares fundamentales: la agricultura (cultivar plantas como trigo y cebada) y la ganadería (domesticar animales como cabras, ovejas y vacas). Esto significaba que ya no dependían del azar para encontrar comida.
Las ventajas fueron enormes: mayor seguridad alimentaria, crecimiento de la población, desarrollo de aldeas permanentes y tiempo libre para especializarse en diferentes oficios. Ya no todo el mundo tenía que dedicarse a buscar comida.
Pero también trajo problemas nuevos: las enfermedades se extendían más fácilmente al vivir en grupos grandes, había más conflictos por defender las tierras, y la dieta se volvió menos variada. Si fallaba la cosecha, la situación se ponía muy difícil.
¡Recuerda esto para el examen! La sedentarización fue posible gracias a la agricultura y ganadería, pero también creó los primeros problemas de las sociedades complejas.
Arte, herramientas y tecnología prehistórica
El arte y las herramientas nos cuentan historias fascinantes sobre cómo pensaban y vivían nuestros antepasados. Cada época tenía su estilo propio y sus necesidades específicas.
El arte rupestre del Paleolítico se pintaba dentro de cuevas, muchas veces en lugares súper difíciles de alcanzar. Se cree que tenía propósitos mágicos, como asegurar el éxito en la caza. Las construcciones megalíticas del Neolítico, en cambio, eran enormes estructuras de piedra al aire libre, principalmente tumbas y lugares de culto.
En el Paleolítico, las herramientas más importantes eran el bifaz (una piedra tallada por ambos lados que servía para cortar, romper huesos y hasta como arma) y el raspador (perfecto para limpiar pieles de animales y hacer ropa).
La llegada de los metales lo cambió todo. Un ejemplo perfecto son los arados de hierro: eran mucho más fuertes que los de madera, permitían arar más profundo y producir más comida con menos esfuerzo. Esto liberaba tiempo para otras actividades como la artesanía o el comercio.

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
