Uvod v oceane in morja
Predstavljaj si Zemljo iz vesolja - večinoma je modra, ker so vodni prostori ogromni! Svetovni ocean je skupno ime za vse oceane in morja, ki so povezani v eno veliko vodno maso.
Ocean je največja enota - imamo jih 5 in so zelo globoki. Morje je manjši del oceana, ki ga pogosto obdaja kopno. Zaliv se zajeda v kopno (kot Tržaški zaliv), morska ožina pa je ozek prehod med dvema kopnima.
Slanost pove, koliko soli je v vodi - povprečno je 35 gramov na kilogram vode. Morski tokovi so kot reke v oceanu, ki prenašajo toplo ali hladno vodo po svetu.
Pazi! Zaliv = morje gre v kopno, ožina = kopno ločuje vode.
Pet oceanov sveta
Tihi ocean je absolutni prvak - največji in najgloblji! Obkroža ga "Ognjeni obroč" z vulkani in potresi. Atlantski ocean je drugi največji in super pomemben za promet med Evropo in Ameriko.
Indijski ocean je najtoplejši in tretji po velikosti. Južni ocean obkroža Antarktiko in je precej divji - hladen, vetroven in viharen.
Severni ledeni ocean je najmanček od vseh. Je najplitvejši, najhladnejši in večino leta prekrit z ledom.
Zapomniti si jih lahko po velikosti: Tihi, Atlantski, Indijski, Južni, Severni ledeni. Naredi si akronim: "Teta Ana Ima Jabolko Skupaj"!
Super trik: Oceane si zapomnij kot piramiido - od največjega (Tihi) do najmanjšega (Severni ledeni).
Vrste morij
Morja delimo glede na to, kje ležijo in kako so povezana z oceani. Robna morja ležijo na robu oceana - od njega jih ločujejo otoki ali polotoki (kot Severno ali Japonsko morje).
Sredozemska morja so skoraj v celoti obkrojena s kopnim. Z oceanom so povezana le z ozko ožino. Naše Jadransko morje spada sem - je del velikega Sredozemskega morja.
Medotoška morja ležijo med skupinami otokov, kot je Karibsko morje med karibskimi otoki.
Vsaka vrsta morja ima svoje posebnosti, ki vplivajo na temperaturo, slanost in življenje v njem.
Zanimivost: Jadransko morje je hkrati sredozemsko IN delno medotoško - leži med Apeninskim in Balkanskim polotokom!
Značilnosti in gibanje morske vode
Temperatura morske vode se spreminja glede na lokacijo in globino. Pri ekvatorju je topla (28°C), proti poloma pa se ohlaja do -2°C. Z globino voda postaja hladnejša.
Slanost je višja v vročih krajih z veliko izhlapevanja (Rdeče morje) in nižja tam, kjer se vlijejo velike reke (Baltsko morje).
Morska voda se giblje na tri načine: valovi (povzroča jih veter), plimovanje (Luna dviga in spušča gladino) in morski tokovi. Tokovi so ključni za podnebje!
Topli tokovi tečejo od ekvatorja proti poloma in prinašajo toplejše vreme. Hladni tokovi tečejo nasprotno in prinašajo hladnejše vreme.
Pomembno za test: Valove povzroča veter, plimovanje Luna, NE obratno!
Vpliv na podnebje in naše morje
Zalivski tok je super primer, kako morski tokovi vplivajo na podnebje. Ta topel tok iz Mehiškega zaliva ogreva Zahodno Evropo. Zato ima London milejše zime kot kanadska mesta na isti geografski širini!
Jadransko morje je za nas Slovence izjemno pomembno. Je precej plitvo, toplo in slano (38‰). Omogoča turizem na naši obali, Luka Koper je naše okno v svet za trgovino, ribištvo pa daje hrano.
Morski tokovi so kot ogromna ogrevalna naprava naše planete - prerazporejajo toploto po celotni Zemlji in tako vplivajo na vreme in podnebje vseh celin.
Brez oceanov bi bila Zemlja popolnoma drugačen planet!
Za oceno: Zapomniti si moraš, da topli tokovi prinašajo toplejše in vlažnejše vreme, hladni pa hladnejše in sušnejše!

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
