Zgradba rastlinske celice - osnove
Rastlinske celice imajo jedro (zato so evkariontske), ampak so precej drugačne od živalskih celic. Te razlike niso naključne - omogočajo rastlinam, da živijo povsem drugače kot živali.
Celična membrana nadzoruje, kaj gre noter in ven iz celice, medtem ko citoplazma zapolnjuje prostor med organeli. Jedro je "poveljniški center", kjer se shranjuje DNK in se sprejemajo odločitve za celico.
Mitohondriji so "elektrarne" celice, kjer se sprošča energija za vsakodnevno delovanje. Ja, tudi rastline potrebujejo energijo, čeprav si hrano naredijo same!
Zapomnimo si: Rastlinska celica ima tri posebnosti, ki jih živalska nima - celično steno, kloroplaste in veliko vakuolo. Te tri stvari spreminjajo vse!
Celična stena - rastlinin oklep
Celična stena je čisto na zunanji strani celice in je zgrajena iz celuloze. To je trdna snov, ki rastlinam daje trdnost - zato lahko drevo zraste visoko, ne da bi se zrušilo.
Celična stena določa stalno obliko celice (večinoma pravokotno) in jo ščiti pred poškodbami. Pomembno je, da je popolnoma prepustna - voda in hranila lahko prosto prehajajo skoznjo.
Pozor na razliko: Celična stena ni isto kot celična membrana! Stena je zunanja, trdna in prepustna. Membrana je pod njo, mehka in polprepustna (izbira, kaj spusti skozi).
Zakaj je to pomembno: Brez celične stene bi bile rastline kot želatina - mehke in brez oblike. Stena jim omogoča, da zrastejo visoko in trdno.
Kloroplasti - rastlinine sončne celice
Kloroplasti so čudoviti zeleni organeli, kjer se dogaja fotosinteza. To je proces, pri katerem rastlina iz sončne svetlobe, vode in ogljikovega dioksida naredi hrano (sladkor) in kisik.
Klorofil je zeleno barvilo v kloroplastih, ki "ujame" sončno svetlobo. Zato so rastline zelene! Kloroplaste najdeš v listih in steblih, ne pa v koreninah (ker tja svetloba ne pride).
Zaradi kloroplastov so rastline avtotrofi - same si naredijo hrano. Živali smo heterotrofi - hrano moramo pojesti od nekje drugje.
Razloži prijatelju: Rastline so kot sončne elektrarne z restavracijo - ujamejo svetlobo in si skuhajo kosilo. Mi si ne moremo!
Velika osrednja vakuola - rastlinin rezervoar
Velika osrednja vakuola je kot ogromen balon, napolnjen s celičnim sokom (voda, soli, sladkorji, barvila). V zreli celici lahko zavzame do 90% prostora!
Vakuola ima tri glavne naloge: shranjevanje vode in hranil, vzdrževanje turgorskega tlaka in odstranjevanje odpadkov. Turgorski tlak je super pomemben - vakuola pritiska na celično steno od znotraj in naredi celico napeto in trdno.
Ko rastlini zmanjka vode, vakuola skrči, tlak pade in rastlina oveni. To si verjetno že opazil pri rožah v vazi brez vode.
Praktičen primer: Zelena je kot napihljiv balon v trdni škatli - dokler je balon napihnjen, je škatla trdna. Ko se balon spusti, postane vse mlahavo.
Primerjave in povzetek za test
Tri glavne razlike med rastlinsko in živalsko celico si zapomni takole: rastlinska ima celično steno (trdnost), kloroplaste (hrana iz svetlobe) in veliko vakuolo (shramba vode).
Skupne značilnosti: obe imata celično membrano, citoplazmo, jedro in mitohondrije. Ja, tudi rastline potrebujejo mitohondrije za energijo!
Za test zapomnimo: Fotosinteza (kloroplasti, nastaja hrana) ≠ celično dihanje (mitohondriji, sprošča energija). Rastline izvajajo oboje! Celuloza je v celični steni, klorofil pa v kloroplastih.
Hitra miselna povezava: Celična stena = oklep, kloroplasti = kuhinja, vakuola = shramba. Tako si boš zapomnil funkcije!
