Uvod v dedni material
Dedni material je osnova vsega življenja - vsebuje vsa navodila, kako naj deluje tvoja celica in celotno telo. Te informacije se prenašajo iz staršev na otroke, zato si podoben svojim staršem.
Glavni nosilci te informacije sta nukleinski kislini - DNA in RNA. Grajeni sta iz osnovnih gradnikov, ki jim pravimo nukleotidi. Vsak nukleotid je sestavljen iz treh delov: sladkorja, fosfatne skupine in dušikove baze.
Gen je kot recept v kuharici - to je določen odsek DNA, ki vsebuje navodila za izdelavo določenega proteina. Kromosom pa je kot celotna kuharska knjiga, kjer je DNA zgoščena skupaj z beljakovinami. Mi ljudje imamo 46 kromosomov v vsaki celici.
💡 Zanimivost: Če bi razprl vso DNA iz ene celice, bi bila dolga približno 2 metra, vendar se spakira v jedro, veliko le nekaj mikrometrov!
Zgradba molekule DNA
DNA (deoksiribonukleinska kislina) ima obliko dvojne vijačnice - kot stopnišče, ki se vrti. Sestavljena je iz dveh verig, ki se ovijata ena okoli druge.
Zunanji del vijačnice tvori sladkorno-fosfatna hrbtenica, ki je kot ograja pri stopnišču. Notranje "stopnice" pa predstavljajo dušikove baze. Obstajajo štiri vrste: Adenin (A), Gvanin (G), Citozin (C) in Timin (T).
Najbolj pomembno pravilo je komplementarno parjenje baz: A se vedno pari s T (z dvema vodikovima vezema), G pa s C (s tremi vodikovimi vezema). To pravilo zagotavlja, da se DNA lahko natančno kopira.
Antiparalelnost pomeni, da sta verigi usmerjeni v nasprotni smeri - ena poteka 5'→3', druga pa 3'→5'. To je ključno za delovanje encimov, ki kopirajo DNA.
💡 Zapomni si: G-C vez je močnejša od A-T vezi zaradi treh vodikovih vezi namesto dveh!
Zgradba molekule RNA in razlike z DNA
RNA (ribonukleinska kislina) je kot DNA-jev mlajši bratec, ki opravlja drugačne naloge. Glavne razlike so preproste za zapomniti.
RNA je večinoma enojna veriga (ne dvojna vijačnica). Vsebuje sladkor ribozo namesto deoksiriboze. Namesto timina (T) ima uracil (U), ki se pari z adeninom.

RNA je manj stabilna in ima krajšo življenjsko dobo, ker opravlja začasne naloge - predvsem prenos informacij za sintezo proteinov.
💡 Test trik: Na testu se vedno sprašujejo o razliki med T in U - zapomni si, da RNA ima Uracil namesto Timina!
Podvojevanje (replikacija) DNA
Preden se celica razdeli, mora skopirati svojo DNA. Ta proces se imenuje replikacija in je semikonzervativen - vsaka nova molekula DNA vsebuje eno staro in eno novo verigo.
Replikacija poteka v treh korakih. Najprej helikaza razpre dvojno vijačnico kot zadrgo. Nato DNA-polimeraza gradi nove verige z dodajanjem komplementarnih nukleotidov. Vendar lahko dodaja nukleotide le v smeri 5'→3'.
To povzroči problem: vodilna veriga se sintetizira zvezno, zastajajoča veriga pa v kratkih odsekih (Okazakijevih fragmentih). Na koncu ligaza poveže fragmente v enotno verigo.
Rezultat: iz ene molekule DNA nastaneta dve popolnoma enaki kopiji, pripravljeni za celično delitev.
💡 Pomembno za test: Replikacija je vedno semikonzervativna - polovica stara, polovica nova!
Primeri in praktična uporaba
Če imaš odsek DNA z zaporedjem 5'-ATGGCTACTG-3', lahko določiš komplementarno verigo. Uporabiš pravilo parjenja (A↔T, G↔C) in ne pozabiš na antiparalelnost.
Rešitev: Komplementarna veriga bo 3'-TACCGATGAC-5'. Opazi, da se prva začne s 5', druga pa s 3' - to je antiparalelnost!
Pri semikonzervativni replikaciji lahko sledimo molekulam z izotopi. Če označimo DNA s težkim dušikom in jo damo v gojišče z lahkim dušikom, po prvi replikaciji dobimo hibridne molekule. Po drugi replikaciji imamo polovico hibridnih, polovico popolnoma lahkih molekul.
Ta poskus je dokaz, da replikacija res poteka semikonzervativno, ne pa konzervativno ali disperzivno.
💡 Nasvet za izpit: Vadi risanje replikacijskih vilic in označevanje vodilne/zastajajoče verige!
Ključni poudarki in nasveti za test
Ne zamešaj timina (T) v DNA z uracilom (U) v RNA - to je najbolj pogosta napaka na testih! Zapomni si tudi število vodikovih vezi: A=T ima 2, G≡C pa 3 vezi.

Za test obvezno znaj: primerjavo DNA/RNA v tabeli, semikonzervativno replikacijo z diagramom in komplementarno parjenje baz. To so klasična vprašanja, ki se pojavljajo vsako leto.
Zapomni si: DNA shranjuje, RNA prenaša, replikacija kopira. Vse skupaj omogoča prenos genetskih informacij iz generacije v generacijo!

This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming. I love it and my mom is just happy I got good grades

The app's just great! All I have to do is enter the topic in the search bar and I get the response real fast. I don't have to watch 10 YouTube videos to understand something, so I'm saving my time. Highly recommended!

I found this app a couple years ago and it has only gotten better since then. I really love it because it can help with written questions and photo questions. Also, it can find study guides that other people have made as well as flashcard sets and practice tests. The free version is also amazing for students who might not be able to afford it. Would 100% recommend

This app is phenomenal down to the correct info and the various topics you can study! I greatly recommend it for people who struggle with procrastination and those who need homework help. It has been perfectly accurate for world 1 history as far as I’ve seen! Geometry too!
