Určitý člen THE - kdy ho používat
Určitý člen "the" používáš, když všichni vědí, o čem mluvíš. Představ si to jako ukazování prstem na konkrétní věc.
Nejčastěji ho potkáš u příjmení v množném čísle (the Novákovi), pohoří a řek (the Alps, the Danube) a názvů zemí v množném čísle (the USA, the Czech Republic).
Vždycky ho dáváš před superlativ (the best, the most beautiful) a před hudební nástroje (I play the guitar). Tahle pravidla si zapamatuj nejdřív - jsou nejdůležitější pro testy.
💡 Tip: Pokud můžeš říct "ten konkrétní", použij "the"!

Kdy THE vynechat a speciální případy
Bez "the" mluvíš o osobních jménech (Mike, Anna), názvích ulic a měst (Prague, Main Street) a většině zemí v jednotném čísle (Germany, France).
Tady to bude trochu složitější - některá slova můžou být s "the" i bez něj. Záleží na tom, jestli mluvíš obecně nebo konkrétně. Například "Life is hard" (život obecně) vs. "The life of students is difficult" (konkrétní život studentů).
Tohle platí pro abstraktní pojmy, jídla, instituce i dopravní prostředky. Klíčové je, jestli myslíš obecně nebo konkrétně.
💡 Pozor: "School" (jako instituce vzdělávání) vs. "the school" (konkrétní budova školy)

Neurčitý člen A/AN - praktické použití
Neurčitý člen "a/an" používáš, když o něčem mluvíš poprvé nebo obecně. Je to jako říct "nějaký" nebo "jeden".
Nezapomeň ho dát před názvy povolání (She's a teacher), jednotky míry (two euros a kilo) a časové jednotky (three times a week). Také ho najdeš u čísel 100 a 1000 (a hundred people).
Speciální případy si zapamatuj jako hotové fráze: half an hour, quite a surprise, such a beautiful day, in a hurry, have a cold. Tyto výrazy se prostě učí nazpaměť.
💡 Pamatuj si: "A" před souhláskou (a car), "an" před samohláskou (an apple) - podle výslovnosti!
