宗教の誕生と広がり
古代の人々は、民族の枠を超えた新しい救いを求めていた。**普遍宗教（世界宗教）**の誕生は、まさにそんな時代の要請だったんだ。
普遍宗教は、血筋や国籍に関係なく全人類の救済を目指す宗教のこと。積極的に布教活動を行うのが特徴で、仏教・キリスト教・イスラーム教がその代表だ。一方、民族宗教は特定の民族内でのみ信仰される宗教で、ユダヤ教や神道がこれに当たる。
宗教は一神教（唯一の神を信仰）と多神教（多数の神々を信仰）に大きく分けられる。興味深いことに、ユダヤ教・キリスト教・イスラーム教は同じ神を信仰する「兄弟宗教」なんだ。
覚えておこう！ なぜ普遍宗教が生まれたの？広大な帝国が成立し、多様な民族をまとめる新しい理念が必要になったからだよ。
仏教の成立と発展
紀元前5世紀、インドの**ガウタマ=シッダールタ（釈迦）**が開いた仏教は、当時の社会に革命をもたらした。輪廻転生からの解脱を目指し、厳しい身分制度を否定したからだ。
仏教が商工業者や下層民に支持された理由は明確だ。ヴァルナ制による差別を否定し、万人の救済を説いたからだ。マウリヤ朝のアショーカ王の保護を受けて、インド全土からスリランカまで広がっていく。
1世紀頃、大きな変化が起きた。クシャーナ朝時代にヘレニズム文化の影響で仏像が作られ始めたのだ。それまで仏像はなかったから、これは画期的な出来事だった。
その後、仏教は二つの流れに分かれる。上座部仏教は個人の解脱を重視し東南アジアへ、大乗仏教は万人救済を掲げてシルクロード経由で東アジアに伝わった。

キリスト教の誕生と拡大
1世紀初め、ローマ帝国支配下のパレスチナでイエスによって始められたキリスト教。母体はユダヤ教だったが、選民思想を批判して全く新しい宗教へと発展した。
イエスが説いたのは神の絶対愛（アガペー）と隣人愛だった。ユダヤ人だけが救われるという考えを否定し、すべての人への愛を強調したんだ。イエスを**救世主（メシア=キリスト）**と信じる信仰が、キリスト教の核心となる。
当初、ローマ帝国は皇帝崇拝を拒否するキリスト教徒を迫害した。しかしペテロやパウロらの布教活動により、特に貧しい人々や女性の間で信者が増加していく。
転機は313年のミラノ勅令で公認され、392年にはテオドシウス帝が国教化したこと。これによりローマ帝国の精神的支柱となった。
重要ポイント 『新約聖書』と『旧約聖書』を合わせて聖典とするのがキリスト教の特徴だよ。
イスラーム教の急速な拡大
7世紀初め、アラビア半島のメッカでムハンマドによって開かれたイスラーム教。唯一神アッラーへの絶対的服従がその核心だ。
イスラーム教の独特な点は、ユダヤ教・キリスト教の預言者も認めつつ、ムハンマドを最後にして最大の預言者と位置づけることだ。偶像崇拝の徹底的禁止も大きな特徴となる。
622年の**ヒジュラ（聖遷）**でメディナに移住したムハンマドは、**ウンマ（宗教共同体）**を形成して勢力を拡大した。これがイスラーム暦元年になる。
ムハンマドの死後、後継者のカリフが**ジハード（聖戦）**を展開し、西アジアから北アフリカ、イベリア半島まで巨大な帝国を築いた。その拡大スピードは驚異的だった。
信者には六信五行という義務がある。六信はアッラーや預言者などを信じること、五行は信仰告白・礼拝・断食・喜捨・巡礼の実践だ。
覚え方のコツ ヒジュラ（622年）＝「ロクニニ」年と覚えよう！
世界三大宗教の比較と特徴
三つの宗教を比較すると、それぞれの個性がはっきりと見えてくる。成立時期は仏教（紀元前5世紀）→キリスト教（1世紀）→イスラーム教（7世紀）の順番だ。
聖典も異なる。仏教は仏典、キリスト教は聖書、イスラーム教はクルアーンを使用する。信仰対象では、仏教は多様、キリスト教は三位一体の神、イスラーム教はアッラーとなる。
偶像崇拝への態度も興味深い違いがある。大乗仏教とキリスト教の多くは偶像を認めるが、イスラーム教は厳格に禁止している。これが各宗教の芸術や文化に大きな影響を与えた。
宗派についても理解しておこう。仏教は上座部と大乗、キリスト教はカトリック・プロテスタント・正教会、イスラーム教はスンナ派とシーア派に分かれている。
各宗教と政治の結びつきも重要だ。仏教はアショーカ王、キリスト教はローマ帝国、イスラーム教は政教一致の帝国形成と、それぞれ独特な発展を遂げた。

I found this app a couple years ago and it has only gotten better since then. I really love it because it can help with written questions and photo questions. Also, it can find study guides that other people have made as well as flashcard sets and practice tests. The free version is also amazing for students who might not be able to afford it. Would 100% recommend

Best app if you're in Highschool or Junior high. I have been using this app for 2 school years and it's the best, it's good if you don't have anyone to help you with school work.😋🩷🎀

This app is phenomenal down to the correct info and the various topics you can study! I greatly recommend it for people who struggle with procrastination and those who need homework help. It has been perfectly accurate for world 1 history as far as I’ve seen! Geometry too!
