生物の分類って何？
君の部屋を片付けるときのように、地球上の生き物も似たもの同士でグループ分けできるんだ。生物の分類では、体のつくりや生活のしかた、なかまの増やし方などを手がかりにして仲間分けしていく。
まず覚えておきたい基本用語がある。動物では脊椎動物（背骨がある）と無脊椎動物（背骨がない）に分かれる。植物では種子植物（種で増える）と胞子植物（胞子で増える）に分かれるよ。
被子植物と裸子植物、単子葉類と双子葉類の違いも重要だ。また、体温の調節ができる恒温動物とできない変温動物の区別もテストでよく出るから要チェック！
覚えておこう
分類は共通点と相違点を見つける作業。似た特徴を持つものを同じグループにまとめることで、生物の進化のつながりが見えてくるんだ。
動物の分類方法
脊椎動物の分類は中学理科の超重要ポイント！背骨がある動物を5つのグループに分けるんだ。
魚類はエラで呼吸してうろこがあり、水中に卵を産む変温動物。両生類は子どもの頃（オタマジャクシ）は水中、大人になると陸上で生活する特徴的なグループだよ。
ハチュウ類は肺で呼吸し、陸に卵を産む変温動物。鳥類は羽毛があって陸に卵を産む恒温動物。ホニュウ類は毛があり、赤ちゃんを産む（胎生）恒温動物なんだ。
テストのコツ
5つのグループの特徴は表で覚えるのが一番効率的！呼吸方法、体の表面、子の産み方、体温調節をセットで暗記しよう。
植物の分類システム
植物の分類は段階的に進めていくよ。まず種子植物か胞子植物かを判断する。種子植物はさらに被子植物（胚珠が子房の中）と裸子植物（胚珠がむき出し）に分かれるんだ。
被子植物の中でも双子葉類と単子葉類の違いは超重要！子葉の枚数だけでなく、葉脈や根の形にも特徴がある。
双子葉類は子葉2枚、網状脈、主根と側根を持つ。単子葉類は子葉1枚、平行脈、ひげ根が特徴だよ。アサガオやサクラは双子葉類、トウモロコシやイネは単子葉類の代表例だ。
見分けのポイント
被子植物と裸子植物の違いは「子房」があるかないか。これがテストで一番狙われる部分だから絶対覚えておこう！
分類の実践練習
実際の生物を使って分類してみよう。イヌの場合：動物→背骨あり→胎生→恒温→毛がある、でホニュウ類に決定！
マツの分類は：植物→種子で増える→胚珠がむき出し、で裸子植物になる。シダ植物のイヌワラビは：植物→胞子で増える→根茎葉がはっきりしている、で胞子植物（シダ植物）だ。
分類のコツは順番を間違えないこと。動物なら「背骨の有無→呼吸方法→体温調節→その他の特徴」の順で考えていけば迷わないよ。
練習のススメ
身近な生物で分類練習をしよう。犬、猫、金魚、カエル、トカゲなど、ペットショップにいる動物で練習すると覚えやすいよ！
テスト対策のまとめ
