Scene 1: The Beautiful Valley
You're about to meet some brilliant characters who stumble upon something that'll change everything. Pádraig, Éamon Beag, Pádraigín, Seosamh and Sinéad are enjoying the gorgeous scenery around Gleann Alainn (Beautiful Valley), painting and sketching the mountains and lakes.
But their peaceful day gets ruined when they spot something absolutely disgusting. There's rubbish everywhere - plastic bags, tin cans, bottles and old newspapers dumped behind bushes. The mess is completely destroying the natural beauty of their favourite spot.
Sinéad gets properly upset about this environmental damage and wants to organise a protest against whoever's doing the dumping. The group decides they need to catch the culprits red-handed, so they hide and wait to see who's responsible.
Remember: Sinéad recognises the two men as Séamus Dubh and Peadairín from the local town - this detail becomes crucial later!
Scene 2: Corruption Exposed
Things get seriously dramatic when the case hits the county council and courtroom. There's loads of shouting and anger, especially from Seán, the local TD (politician), who's absolutely raging about the whole situation.
Here's where it gets dodgy though. Séamus and Peadairín think they can get away with their illegal dumping because they've got "important friends" and they're planning to use false evidence against the teenagers. They even try bribing people with brown envelopes full of money - that's proper corruption right there.
But the teenagers aren't backing down. Seosamh takes photographs of the men dumping rubbish, which becomes the key evidence they need. The adults think they can delay the court case and cover everything up, but they've seriously underestimated these young people.

Character Analysis: The Heroes

Seosamh is Sinéad's perfect partner in this fight. He gives her loads of emotional support and stays with her during the stakeout to catch the dumpers. When Sinéad gets upset hearing about her dad's connections to the corrupt men, Seosamh comforts her and helps reduce her worries.
But Seosamh isn't just supportive - he's also dead clever. Those photographs he takes of the illegal dumping become the winning evidence in court. He uses his quick thinking and camera skills to make sure the bad guys can't escape justice.
