French Hobbies and Activities
The magic phrase "je fais" means "I do" or "I go" and it's your gateway to talking about practically any hobby in French. Once you've got this down, you can chat about everything from sports to creative activities.
For activities starting with "du", you'll say things like "je fais du shopping" (I go shopping) or "je fais du vélo" (I go biking). Sports like skiing and waterskiing follow this pattern too - "je fais du ski" and "je fais du ski nautique".
Activities using "de la" include loads of popular hobbies. You might say "je fais de la danse" (I do dancing), "je fais de la cuisine" (I do cooking), or "je fais de la natation" (I go swimming). Reading and walking also use this pattern.
Top Tip: Notice how "de l'" is used for "équitation" (horseriding) because the word starts with a vowel - this makes pronunciation much smoother!
Don't forget that even everyday activities like homework fit this pattern - "je fais mes devoirs" literally means "I do my homework". Whether you're into creative pursuits like DIY ("bricolage") or outdoor activities like sailing ("voile"), this structure works for everything!

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.
This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.
Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.
