Uvod u velika geografska otkrića
Zamislite da ne možete da kupite omiljene začine jer su postali preskupi! Tako se osećala Evropa kada su Turci 1453. godine osvojili Carigrad. Velika geografska otkrića su bila odgovor na ovaj problem.
Evropljani su imali tri glavna razloga za putovanja. Ekonomski razlozi su bili najvažniji - hteli su novi put do Indije da bi izbegali skupu trgovinu preko Turaka. Tražili su i zlato koje im je bilo potrebno za trgovinu.
Novi izumi su omogućili ova putovanja. Karavela je bila revolucionarni brod koji je mogao da plovi protiv vetra, kompas je pokazivao smer, a astrolab je pomagao mornarima da se orijentišu po zvezdama.
Zapamti: Pad Carigrada 1453. godine je bio okidač za velika geografska otkrića!

Novi svet je naziv za Ameriku, dok su konkvistadori bili španski osvajači koji su uništili civilizacije Asteka i Inka. Amerigo Vespuči je shvatio da je Kolumbo zaista otkrio novi kontinent.
Pazi: Ne mešaj! Kolumbo je otkrio Ameriku, ali Amerigo Vespuči je shvatio da je to novi kontinent!
Tok velikih otkrića
Portugal je prvi krenuo u istraživanja. Henri Moreplovac je osnovao pomorsku školu i finansirao ekspedicije duž afričke obale. Bartolomeo Dijas je 1488. stigao do najjužnije tačke Afrike, koju je kralj nazvao Rt Dobre Nade.
Vasko da Gama je 1498. konačno uspeo - oplovio je Afriku i stigao do Indije! Portugal je tako preuzeo kontrolu nad trgovinom začinima i postao bogat.
Španija je ostvarila možda najveće otkriće. Kristofer Kolumbo je 1492. isplovio na zapad sa tri broda: Santa Marija, Ninja i Pinta. Stigao je do Bahama u oktobru 1492, mislući da je došao do Indije.
Magelanovo putovanje (1519-1522) je bilo najsmelije - krenuo je da oplovi ceo svet! Prošao je kroz moreuz južno od Amerike i ušao u Tihi okean. Mada je Magelan ubijen na Filipinima, jedan brod se vratio u Španiju i dokazao da je Zemlja okrugla.
Zanimljivost: Ugovor u Tordesiljasu (1494) je podelio svet između Španije i Portugala - zato se u Brazilu priča portugalski!
Posledice za Evropu
Pozitivne posledice su bile ogromne! Iz Amerike su stigle nove biljke koje su promenile ishranu Evropljana: krompir, kukuruz, paradajz, pasulj, kakao. Zamislite život bez krompira ili čokolade!
Ogromne količine zlata i srebra su stigle u Evropu, posebno u Španiju. Središte trgovine se pomerilo sa Sredozemnog mora na Atlantski okean - luke poput Lisabona, Sevilje i Amsterdama postaju najvažnije.
Potvrđeno je da je Zemlja okrugla, a geografija i kartografija su se brzo razvijale. Evropljani su proširili svoja znanja o svetu.
Negativne posledice su takođe postojale. Zbog previše zlata i srebra nastala je inflacija - novac je gubio vrednost, a cene su rasle. Iz Amerike je u Evropu stigao i sifilis.
Važno za test: Razmena između Starog i Novog sveta se naziva "Kolumbova razmena" (Columbian Exchange)!
Posledice za Ameriku i Afriku
Za domorodce Amerike, posledice su bile katastrofalne. Španski konkvistadori poput Ernana Kortesa i Fransiska Pizara su uništili moćne civilizacije Asteka i Inka zbog pohlepe za zlatom.
Masovno umiranje domorodaca je bilo najveća tragedija. Evropljani su doneli bolesti na koje Indijanci nisu bili otporni - male boginje, grip, tifus. Procenjuje se da je umrlo čak 90% domorodačkog stanovništva!
Pošto je toliko domorodaca umrlo, Evropljani su počeli da dovoze robove iz Afrike da rade na plantažama i u rudnicima. Ovo je početak trgovine robljem preko Atlantika, koja će trajati vekovima.
Domorocima su nametnuli evropsku kulturu - španski ili portugalski jezik, hrišćanstvo umesto njihovih verovanja, i evropske običaje. Njihove bogate kulture su skoro potpuno uništene.
Zapamti: Za Evropu su otkrića bila uglavnom pozitivna, a za domorodce Amerike katastrofalna!

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! The app's just great! All I have to do is enter the topic in the search bar and I get the response real fast. I don't have to watch 10 YouTube videos to understand something, so I'm saving my time. Highly recommended!

I found this app a couple years ago and it has only gotten better since then. I really love it because it can help with written questions and photo questions. Also, it can find study guides that other people have made as well as flashcard sets and practice tests. The free version is also amazing for students who might not be able to afford it. Would 100% recommend

This app is phenomenal down to the correct info and the various topics you can study! I greatly recommend it for people who struggle with procrastination and those who need homework help. It has been perfectly accurate for world 1 history as far as I’ve seen! Geometry too!
